The Forest City Legacy Soccer Complex was envisioned as a premier destination for soccer and recreation in western North Carolina—one that combines high-quality athletic facilities with a strong commitment to community connection. Developed through a partnership between the RHI Legacy Foundation, the Town of Forest City, Rutherford County, and the Rutherford County Soccer Association, the project reflects a shared investment in health, wellness, and opportunity for local families and youth.

Architecture
The campus support tournament-level play while remaining accessible and welcoming for everyday community use. The complex features a multi-field layout with tournament-ready lighting, spectator seating, and clear, pedestrian-friendly circulation that enhances safety and ease of movement throughout the site.
Three new buildings anchor the campus and support its year-round functionality. The main building includes concessions and covered gathering areas that create a central hub for players, families, and fans. A comfort station provides restrooms and family-friendly amenities, while a dedicated support facility houses offices and equipment storage for operations and event management. Together, these structures establish a cohesive architectural identity and reinforce the complex’s role as a civic destination.
Strong branding is seamlessly integrated throughout the campus, reinforcing the Legacy identity and creating a sense of pride and place. Architectural elements, color palettes, signage, and graphic moments are thoughtfully incorporated into the buildings and site features, ensuring the brand is visible without overpowering the experience. This cohesive approach allows the complex to feel instantly recognizable during tournaments and events while remaining timeless and welcoming for daily community use.
