STITCH is seeking a self-starter, who feels passionate about the opportunity to be part of our team with a focus on Commercial Architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong visualization and design skills with a penchant for storytelling and cultivating client experiences. Hard Skills - Ideal Candidate Expectations:

Foundations

  • Management – Ability to monitor project budgets and schedules. Ability to manage the design process and supervise workflow of design with assistance from Principal or Project Manager.
  • Construction – Basic knowledge of the construction process and construction administration.
  • Documentation – Strong knowledge of construction document production, and detailing. Ability to both generate and direct production activities.
  • Communication – Strong graphic, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to present ideas and strategies quickly, thoughtfully, and concisely.

Design

  • Discovery – Ability to diagram, research and ideate to build a design concept or parti.
  • Design – Ability to take a design concept and translate it into physical space and form that are beautiful, functional, and impactful.
  • Visualization – Ability to convey design ideas in unique and visual compelling formats. Hand sketching, 3D renderings, diagrams, virtual reality, etc.
  • Tectonics – Ability to think holistically about a concept early for code compliance and constructability.
  • Collaboration – strong team player who is inclusive and inspiring.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 5+ years related professional experience; licensure preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven design experience in similar project types, sizes, and team structures.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.

  • Documentation – Basic knowledge of construction document production, and detailing. Ability to execute drawings when directed by senior team members regarding design solutions.
  • Programming – General knowledge of programming techniques and ability to implement them with client and end users. Finding the Client’s why and clearly identifying the project goals.
  • Communication – Strong graphic, written, and oral communication skills.

Design

  • Discovery – Ability to ideate alongside team members to generate thoughtful concepts.
  • Design – Ability to support efforts to take a design concept and translate it into physical space and form that are beautiful, functional, and impactful.
  • Visualization – Ability to and a desire to learn additional ways to convey design ideas in unique and visual compelling formats. Hand sketching, 3D renderings, diagrams, virtual reality, etc.
  • Finishes – Basic knowledge of materials and their applications, availability, and cost and a desire to grow this knowledge. Assist interiors studio by maintaining materials library.
  • Tectonics – Ability to work alongside senior team members to understand code and other technical requirements.
  • Collaboration – Strong team player who is inclusive and inspiring.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design/Architecture and 0-3 years related professional experience.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office or similar software.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.

  • Discovery – Ability to ideate through diagrams, research and other means to generate thoughtful concepts.
  • Design – Ability to take a design concept and translate it into physical space and form that are beautiful, functional, and impactful.
  • Visualization – Ability to and a desire to learn additional ways to convey design ideas in unique and visual compelling formats. Hand sketching, 3D renderings, diagrams, virtual reality, etc.
  • Finishes – Basic knowledge of materials and their applications, availability, and cost.
  • FF&E – Experienced knowledge of product lines and process to design, document, and coordinate packages.
  • Tectonics – Ability to think holistically about a concept early for code implications and constructability.
  • Collaboration – Strong team player who is inclusive and inspiring.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design/Architecture and 5+ years related professional experience.
  • Experience in Hospitality environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office or similar software.
  • Licensure or interest in completing NCIDQ exams.
