The design carefully balances openness and security, featuring a welcoming lobby and waiting areas, a centrally located nurses station for clear visibility and staff support, private patient rooms, and secure storage for medications and sensitive materials.
Fixtures, finishes, furniture, and spatial layouts were all selected with behavioral health best practices in mind: minimizing risk, reducing overstimulation, and creating a setting that feels calm, respectful, and supportive for individuals in a wide range of mental states.
The design of the facility prioritized a secure, compassionate environment that promotes healing while enabling care providers to deliver services efficiently and confidently.
The Highland Avenue Behavioral Health Urgent Care stands as a critical community asset, expanding access to essential mental health and substance use services for Forsyth County residents.
