Entry Level Commercial Interior Designer

STITCH Design Shop is seeking a self-starter, who feels passionate about the opportunity to be part of our team with a focus on Commercial Interior Design. The ideal candidate will have strong visualization and design skills along with the ability to execute, including a variety of basic interior design assignments requiring the application of standard interior design techniques for small projects or select segments of a larger project.

 Essential Duties:

• Assist mid and senior designers with development of design solutions for review.
• Researches and selects colors, finishes, and materials; maintains resource materials.
• Performs site surveys; provides research on various interior products.
• Applies established interior design standards to perform routine checking and/or verification tasks.
• Supports business development activities through assistance with aids such as finish boards and presentations.
• Misc. related duties assigned by the Studio Lead for Commercial Interior Design.

Non-Essential Duties:

• Attend organization and community events on behalf of STITCH, as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited interior design/interior architecture program or related field.
• 1-3 years of interior design or related experience.
• Basic proficiency with BIM software (Revit preferred); 3D modeling software (SketchUp preferred); Microsoft Office 365.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills.
• Creative problem solver with a passion for design; attention to detail.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
